JZN NFL Predictions vs. Spread: New York Jets at Washington Redskins (Week 13, 2011-12)

The early spread on this game is Jets (-3). Here are some of the key aspects of the game and what to watch out for in pick ’em leagues. All lines from Y! Sports and injury reports from CBS Sports as of November 30, 2011. Always update yourselves with injury lines because they’ll change throughout the week. Please note that ATS means “Against the spread.”

*My* Current Personal Picks Record (Straights Picks Only)
New York Jets 7-4
Washington Redskins 7-4

Key Injuries
RB LaDanian Tomlinson, DL Mike DeVito, WR Niles Paul,

Keys to the Game
  • Mark Sanchez vs. Rex Grossman: Turnovers
  • Offensive Lines
  • Do the Redskins have enough depth at wide receiver to overcome Darrelle Revis?
  • The Redskins are currently 0-2 against NFC East teams with losses to the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. The Jets beat the Dallas Cowboys in the regular-season opener.

Summary
The biggest thing I see from this game is that the Redskins have a turnover differential of (-11), tied for worst in NFL. That’s expected with the quarterback carousel of Rex Grossman and John Beck.

I’m tempted to pick an upset. However, I just think the Jets are the better team. Jets win another close one.

Final Predictions:
Against the Spread: New York Jets (-3)
Straight: New York Jets 20, Washington Redskins 13
