JZN NFL Predictions vs. Spread: Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (Week 10, 2011-12)

The early spread on this game is Chiefs (-3). Here are some of the key aspects of the game and what to watch out for in pick ’em leagues. All lines from Y! Sports and injury reports from CBS Sports as of November 9, 2011. Always update yourselves with injury lines because they’ll change throughout the week. Please note that ATS means “Against the spread.”

*MY* Current Personal Picks Record (Straights Only)
Denver Broncos 5-3
Kansas City Chiefs 4-4

Key Injuries
S Jon McGraw, DB Javier Arenas, S Rahim Moore

Keys to the Game
  • Can the Chiefs contain a Broncos run offense that had 299 rushing yards against the Oakland Raiders?
  • Can the Chiefs create turnovers off of Tim Tebow?
  • Which Chiefs team will show up?
  • Can the Broncos overcome the home-field advantage of Arrowhead Stadium?

Summary
I really don’t know what the Kansas City Chiefs are. They lose three consecutive games and then win four consecutive games. Then, they get dominated by a winless Miami Dolphins team. While the Chiefs are 5-1 ATS as underdogs, they’re 0-2 as favorites. Arrowhead hasn’t seemed like much of a home-field advantage this season. I’d actually favor the Denver Broncos if this game goes into the fourth quarter because they have Tim Tebow.

Randy Inman is a Chiefs/Panthers fan who is picking over 70% in this pick ‘em league and he was siding with the Broncos as of Wednesday. Personally, I think I’m going to give the Chiefs one more chance. With very little confidence, I’m going with the Chiefs.

Final Predictions:
Against the Spread: Denver Broncos (+3)
Straight: Kansas City Chiefs 16, Denver Broncos 13
